Butterfly Bowl – Madrone with Purple Epoxy Drips

$180.00

Out of stock

One of my unique butterfly bowls made out of madrone wood that I harvested from a dying tree in the Santa Cruz mountains.

It features dark purple epoxy drips; semi-translucent so you can see the mountain tops of the wood. The purple is more of a dark blue, with violet accents. The wood was sealed with some gold tinted epoxy that can be seen in some of the valleys of the wood.

This bowl is SMALL! See the other bowls I have listed if you want a slightly larger version. It is more the size of a cereal bowl; approximately 7 1/4″ by 6 1/2″ from tip to tip, and 2 3/16″ tall.

The bowl is finished with Osmo Polyx oil – it is safe for children’s play toys, but not officially rated food safe by the FDA.

These bowls take approximately 14 hours of machining time, and 4-5 hours of hand work.
