A custom wooden heart box, made out of two native hardwoods: cherry and madrone. It has a very organic, curvy shape, with the madrone wood flowing through the middle of the box in both the bottom and lid, perfectly matching up. This box is my original unique design that you will not see anywhere else!
This is the first heart box I’ve made out of an all wood design.
The size is about 8″ from the bottom of the heart to the tip of the round parts. The width is about 8-1/4″ wide at the widest part, and about 2-3/4″ tall with the lid on. The box inside is about the size of a large cereal bowl.
The box has a very matte finish to emphasize the beauty of the wood.
I made this box in my small backyard workshop located in Truckee, California near Lake Tahoe. I milled the madrone wood myself from a dying tree in the Santa Cruz mountains. The cherry wood came from a local wood supplier in Reno, Nevada.
